Summary of the Job:
Provides leadership in Bakery Department by directing and managing all associate activities, including their in-store training, ordering all products and supplies for the bakery, training employees on baking procedures for new products at multiple stores, determining production amounts, and implementing merchandise initiatives to grow the business while meeting customer requirements and maximizing profits.
Job Duties:
• Inspects and checks products and supplies upon delivery. Enforces and follows department practices regarding receiving, dating and restocking to ensure product rotation. Monitors product quality and freshness. Ensures that out-of-code products are pulled off the shelves and reduced.
• Oversees the baking and general production of the department. Maintains budgeted percentages related to sales, labor controls and shrink control.
• Maintains effective housekeeping program. Ensures compliance with all company policies that relate to the safety of associates and cleanliness and sanitation. Maintains and ensures compliance with local, state and government weights and measures and health department regulations.
• Must have professional experience making different types of authentic Hispanic breads such as Conchas, Bolillos, Empanadas, and many other Hispanic baked goods.
Job Requirements:
• Must be Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• 6-10 years of experience in a professional baking environment.
• Willing to travel to multiple stores in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area.
• Clean background.
• Professional Appearance.
